Meet the Artist
Amber Peeks is a 22 year old, multi-disciplinary visual artist from Atlanta Ga. As a multi-disciplinary artist, Amber engages in a multitude of artistic mediums (including acrylic paint, clay, fabric & textiles, + more). Blending traditional mediums with innovative techniques, she's able to foster a dialogue around practicality, creativity, and imagination.
Amber's journey as an artist began in 2020, during her junior year of high school. With school moved online due to the pandemic, she found herself at home and seized the opportunity to explore and nurture her creative potential. Through the years she's been able to develop her practical skills and artistic eye. Having been born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, Amber was able to witness and experience an environment that's rich in culture and creativity. Being from a city that is known for its cultural pioneers and creative visionaries, Amber has an ingrained sense of innovation and a deep appreciation for artistic expression.
Driven by her passion for creativity and her desire to inspire, Amber decided to pursue a career that would allow her the freedom to not only use her artistic talents but also allow her to live a life dedicated to her creative practice. Amber's work focuses on capturing the beauty and complexity of life through a feminine lens. She pulls inspiration from a wide variety of sources, from the organic textures found in nature, to the dynamic visuals of anime. Through the use of mixed media, Amber is able to blend these influences to create unique and visually captivating pieces.
Although her artistic practice consumes a majority of her time, outside of art Amber enjoys reading, playing puzzle games (like sudoku or scrabble), and watching movies.
